This week Sam finished the final page of issue 2, “Give Up the Ghost.” We’ve scheduled the rest of the issue, and we are hard at work submitting print files and formatting eBooks. We hope to have most versions available for Thanksgiving. In fact, we’ll be selling the paper issue as part of a bundle in my publishing company’s holiday sale (Black Friday through Cyber Monday.)
So now it’s time to talk to you a bit about “Sink or Swim.” We took a couple weeks off between “Lightning Rod” and “Give Up the Ghost,” and I plan to give Sam that same amount of time before this issue. “Sink or Swim” will follow Nick (Poseidon) and pick up after “Lightning Rod” left off. You’ll get to spend more time with Nick, Zach, Minnie, and Lewis in this adventure that focuses on the relationship of the brothers.
If you’ve read the novels, you might be confused. Zach and Nick weren’t brothers in that version of the Olympia Heights stories. They are half brothers in the comic, though. Nick’s dad is Caleb Jacobs. He has his mother’s maiden name, Morrisey.
As usual, I want to encourage you to support this comic if you’ve enjoyed reading it so far. We post this for free, and we have no intentions of ever putting up a paywall. We can’t do that without merch sales and donations. Buy a copy (on Kindle or in paper) or perhaps ask someone to get you some sweet loot from our Redbubble store for Christmas. There are also rewards for donations, including a chance to see yourself in the comic.
We’ll reveal the cover for “Sink or Swim” a week before the first page debuts. If you want a great deal on the signed, printed comics, look out for our holiday sale. I’ll shoot anyone who subscribes to the comic email (“Read by Email” in the sidebar) a message on Thanksgiving to let them know where to shop.
Thanks for reading!
